CHALLENGE: The bridge beam had to be installed over the water under difficult conditions.
OUTCOMES: Our engineering team worked closely with Ballarat's Advanced Cranes & Rigging to achieve this installation. The bridge beam was initially picked up by the Premier team, with a specialised lifting triangle attached to the load and the crane. As the beam was lifted towards the water, the second Advanced crane was attached to the load, and it shift the load towards the Advanced crane. Once Advanced took the load, Premier Cranes hooked its crane to the other end of the bridge beam, and together Advanced and Premier Cranes installed the bridge beam into place.
