Premier Cranes & Rigging supported Plinius Steel with the installation of the first stage of major roof modules at Mars Stadium (formerly Eureka Stadium) in Wendouree.

The works took place within a tightly controlled structural corridor, demanding accuracy across multiple elevations and careful integration with the stadium’s roof structure.

Leveraging the power and precision of the LTM 1450-8.1, combined with meticulous planning and engineered rigging solutions, our team delivered a seamless lifting sequence.

• Engineered Lift Planning: Our lift study guided safe crane positioning, verified ground pressures, and ensured compliant clearances within the stadium structure.
• Purpose-Built Rigging System: A combination of the MOD110 spreader, adjustable 50Te spreaders, chain legs, and roundslings totalling 3,364 kg, delivered the flexibility and stability required for roof module placement.
• Precision Execution: The LTM 1450-8.1’s live boom capability, supported by chain blocks for fine adjustment, enabled accurate placement within tight tolerances.
• Collaborative Delivery: Our team worked closely with Plinius Steel and associated trades to sequence lifts safely and efficiently.
