Project Overview

Gasweld Industries – Melbourne Cranes

CHALLENGE: The Premier team recently completed a series of heavy and precise lifts for Gasweld Industries requiring to replace tanks on an existing service station without removing the roof structure.

OUTCOMES: New tanks to be installed at the Maidstone service station needed to be lifted carefully into the existing holes where the old tanks were, the roof on the station was only 3.8m high and restricted access and rigging height on the tanks, using the AT40’s lifting ability, has the crane reaching in from the road allowing a lower starting point of the pivot for the boom, once the AT40 had it into position, two MAC25s dual lifted the tank into the hole. With no more than 100mm clearance from the booms in all directions, the team worked well together and utilised all cranes. Couldn’t have done it with any other cranes or crew. Gasweld Industries was happy that they didn’t need to redesign and purchase a different tank.
