CHALLENGE: The construction of the Cato car park presented significant challenges due to the site access restrictions. Ultimately, we were required to utilise the full reach and lift capacity of our 40T crane in a job that would traditionally require the use of a larger crane.
OUTCOMES: In the planning stages, we prepared extensive engineering lift studies to determine that our crane would be able to provide the impressive 37 metre reach that the job required and that we could set up safely on the capping beam. In practice, this meant that the boom was flat stick and working at near full capacity. This job is testament to the innovation that we use when facing problems and our commitment to providing practical solutions onsite.
